Patent Preparation and Prosecution
We specialize in patent prosecution in the technical fields of medical devices, medical imaging, physics, computer software, mechanical devices, medicinal cannabis, and consumer products. We have a wealth of experience in handling applications in all major jurisdictions, including the USA, Europe, China, Japan, India, Australia, Canada, etc. We aim to provide as broad protection for our clients' inventions as possible, based upon a thorough understanding of our clients' business needs, as well as the techical field of the invention and the prior art.
Patentability Searching
We encourage our clients to have patentability searches performed prior to preparing applications, in order to allow them to gain a better understanding of the technical field and the prior art that exists. In our experience, by having us perform the patentability search, rather than outsourcing the search to a third-party service provider, we are able to get a better understanding of the field and the prior art that we are likely to encounter during prosecution. In turn, this allows us to strategically plan and implement a robust patent portfolio that best protects our clients' interests.
FTO Searching and Analysis
We are able to provide a freedom-to-operate search, in order to determine whether there may be issues in bringing your product to the market in a given jurisdiction. If we identify any potential issues, we can assist in strategizing for overcoming such issues. We are able to provide an invalidity opinion, or a non-infringement opinion if appropriate.
Due diligence
Beider IP is able to assist clients who are undergoing due diligence, whether it is in conveying to potential investors the general IP strategy of the company, or addressing particular issues relating to patentability or freedom-to-operate concerns. We are proud to have assisted our clients in procuring investments from leading strategics and VCs. In addition, we are happy to assist potential investors in analyzing the IP position of a company in which they are looking to invest, both in terms of the robustness of the company's proprietary IP, and their freedom-to-operate position.
